2. Lack of money
Having a baby is an expensive business. There’s all the money you’ll have to spend on things like nappies, extra food, clothes, a crib, changes to the house and so on – and there’s the potential loss of earnings that comes when one partner decides to stop working. If you find yourself arguing over finances, it’s never too late to set some time aside to properly discuss how spending is going to be allocated. Making a baby budget can be really helpful – agreeing on what money is to be earmarked for which expenses. Remember to allocate some of your budget – no matter how small – to ‘time out’ for yourselves.
